Podere Ciona is located in the commune of Gaiole, in the heart of Chianti Classico's wine producing region, symbolized by the Gallo Nero. Home to proprietors Franco and Franca Gatteschi, it is surrounded by picturesque vineyards which produce one of the region's highly rated Chianti Classico Riservas. The estate offers accommodation in an 18th century Tuscan farmhouse and cottage, newly restored and outfitted with intimate interiors, private terraces, swimming pools and magnificent views for those who wish to take in the good life of Tuscan holiday.

Podere Ciona is currently producing a Chianti Classico Riserva and two I.G.T. (Indicazione Geografica Tipica) wines: a Merlot based Supertuscan "Le Diacce" and a young Sangiovese "Montegrossoli". The internationally renowned enologist and agronomist Dr. Stefano Chioccioli - www.stefanochioccioli.it - supervises the grape growing and the wine-making. Visitors and guests, by appointment, may enjoy a tour of the cellars and a tasting of the estate's wines.
